There's no party like a housewarming party! Melissa and Joe just bought the cutest house in Calera and invited me to capture their housewarming party with family and friends.
Melissa and I go way back -- we were friends in high school and I actually did engagement photos for her and Joe before they got married several years ago.
It was a fun afternoon filled with a lot of love and laughter. Congratulations Melissa and Joe!
Sweet baby Eli is turning one this month, so his mom, an ollllllld friend of mine, decided to get his portraits made.
Let me just tell you that when you're shooting with children this age, you never know how it's going to go. But Eli might be the most easy-going baby I've ever met. We had a lot of fun capturing these shots even though the weather was a little cloudy.
Sweet Payton celebrated her first birthday in December and her whole family came together last week to celebrate the sweet moment!
With all the adorable babies in these photos, needless to say the baby fever was real. Thank you again Darcey and Danny for having me! Your little girl is precious!
So, with the holidays and all, I'll admit that I've gotten just a little bit behind with keeping you guys up to date with my latest work. This is a shoot that I actually knocked out before the holidays.
The Thrower family are truly a group of special souls. They run a nonprofit, aTeam Ministries, here in Birmingham that I volunteer with. Their son, Anderson, was diagnosed with cancer as a toddler and has since defeated it.
The Throwers, being the incredible people they are, turned their experience into a charity that provides emotional, financial and spiritual support for other local families having to endure the same thing. Everyone knows that childhood cancer is so so so close to my heart, so I think the Throwers are angels sent by God to serve this community! I'm so thankful for souls like theirs! Enjoy!
