So, you never quite know what you're going to get when you're photographing a toddler. Sometimes, they're baby models built for the camera. Sometimes, they scream when they see a camera.
Shooting children can be so much fun and rewarding but it can also be a nightmare if you're not careful. I always make sure to encourage parents to do whatever we need to do to keep the situation calm, relaxed and fun. Babies need to run around and get energy out, so it's okay to take breaks and work with the child to capture photos.
Yesterday, I got to shoot with this sweet munchkin. Miss Ava is almost two years old and loves to play! We shot at a state park, so we had tons of room for running around and enjoying ourselves and playing with the leaves. Jonathan and Brittany are both so laid back and nice, so it ended up being a great shoot.
It also helps that this time of year is hands down my favorite time to shoot. Look at those leaves! Could we have asked for a more perfect back drop
